Hi Nigel!
I'm posting this to you since I'm using your MSMOUSE library, but this
is an open question to anybody who happens to read this..
I remember seeing somewhere/someplace/sometime about a way, in a
SCREEN 0 mode text screen, to read the ASCII code of whatever
character is currently under the standard semi-see-through little box
type mouse pointer.
I'd like to have just a simple little SUB, that when called, just
returns the ASCII code of the character currently under the mouse
pointer in an integer variable I could work with. This would only need
work in good ol' standard SCREEN 0...
I remember seeing something about this a long time ago but can't find
it. In my case it would be used for simple universal menu's where the
user could just point to the first highlighted letter in any menu item
to choose it. No need to standardize the menus themselves that way or
worry about x,y coordinates and such... Point and click is same as
typin' a key. It could literally be used to make *all* BBS's menus
mouse-able, so to speak, if utilized in a terminal program and such.
I just want to be able to read the character under the pointer.
I'm hoping this is an easy question. :-)
Have A Good One!
