Hi Jerry
 Great idea! You may find thay you should look for
a slightly large disk. It is a little better to work with something larger
than 1/2 diameter.
 Still, if you work with a wide V stroke, keeping the
overlap of the center so that the right and left side of the tool cover
only a small amount of the same area, it should work well. If you just use
center over center, you'll find you'll make a noticable hole in the center
but leave the 60-70% area high. The V or W strokes will make a more uniform
spheric shape.
 This will reduce the time it takes to bring the tool and
mirror to spheric when you switch to the main tool. Dwight
