Sean... SD> GT Power is being developed, yes. We're still waiting for verifiable SD> results though. I am having MAJOR problems with the doors echoing across the LAN under OS/2 Warp and GT. The only ones so far to work is a "Greeting" door at logon, and the Ham Radio Doors by Dave Perry...a total of only 5 doors out of over 300...and I REFUSE to let over 300 registered doors go to waste. If they won't echo out the LAN, there's little chance they'll echo out otherwise...and it makes no sense to continue at this point. I can't even get doors such as Trade Wars, L.O.R.D., BRE, etc. to work. I was hoping to get things to work with the OS/2 setup that Sean built for me...because of having to make changes with the Windows XP desktop systems due to ham radio and weather application requirements (I am heavily involved in both in the central Arkansas area). But, I may end up combining things on one of the XP systems...and wait for Tom Watt to get a release with Windows for telnet. He has been overly busy with work and other commitments, and hasn't had time to work on GT lately. I DOUBT the problems are with the system that Sean built...but with the way GT was INITIALLY designed. I NEVER had problems with it under DOS, DESQView, OS/2, or Windows as a SINGLE NODE DIAL-UP ONLY BBS. I wish that the documentation for a GT multi-node setup had not been so vague...that's the main gripe I've had with the software. In fact, Paul Meiners, GT's original author, admitted that "he wrote terrible documentation". I have followed the documentation with GT, plus advice from Mike Powell, with setting things up. But, it's like finding a needle in a haystack to get things to work right. However, I'm dealing with the yearly rent recertification process, two upcoming inspections at the apartment complex where I live (several of those are done every year...2 coming up before Thanksgiving), and a disability evaluation right now. So, I'm going to take a break from BBS work for awhile...except for the answering of echomail and netmail...and the BBS will remain "closed" to users until further notice. I can't afford to get evicted for failing either the recertification, disability evaluation, or inspections. If that happens, the BBS will be the least of my worries. Daryl ...
