Good question. The way I remember recent history is that Slackware used to have
a
release cycle/goal of every 6 months. Then Patrick and his wife had their first

child.

I don't know if that's the reason for the slow-down, but from what little I
know
of raising children, they can definitely gum up the works! ;)

I switched to Debian a few years ago. I still love Slackware (it was my first
distro) and peek at the current changelog once in a while though. I wish
Patrick
and his family the best.
