No,  it is fiber glass but I love the looks of wooden boats but I under
stand they are a real pain to maintain.   I first fell in love with
sailing in New Orleans and saw many Teak boats like the Choy Lee.

It must be,  the laser has a very shallow cockpit with a hiking strap
across it.   It is made to race not just cruise around.

Yes,  the water in Lake Pleseant is very nice in the summer time.  It
can get quite cool in the winter months,  but not like some 
lakes in the northeast.
