Believe it or not, with your computer and Awe 64 and just the
software that comes with the Awe, you can do some composition.
I started on much less. The secret is to use whatever you have.
You could have the very best equipment and software and still
not produce anything worthwhile, while the guy down the street
is breaking new ground writing compositions for five AM radios!
What I'm trying to say is: Start from wherever you are with
whatever you've got. Your compositional talents will lead you
to new hardware and software if that is the direction you need
to go. But the most important thing is to get the music out of
your head and into the world. Whatever it takes to do this,
that's what you gotta do.
