DR*Smart move! (IMHO, anyway!) When my girls have wanted to try something,
such
*as ballet, gymnastics, etc., they have to agree to a full year of that
thing
*First off, I didn't want them quitting the first time they found out
somethi
*was hard. They have to give a new thing a little time before they decide
f
*it's "for" them. A school year is a good amount of time. After a year of
*ballet, and a year of gymnastics, both girls continued their lessons this
*year. Now we are going thru this commitment with Jennifer. She wants to
lear
*clarinet and play in the Band. I rented the instrument for 9 months.
Angela is doing well academically (doesn't like gym, but she's never
been a sports person at all!) but is already lamenting that
she no longer has time for herself and her interests ! We warned
her that her life would no longer be her own before she registered :)
. She is so tired all the time, no
time for cross stitching or kicking back and doing 'nothing' (she has
2 honors classes this semester, English and Math, and next semester
will have 3 ) Tom told her that after 3-4 weeks of
school things would probably lighten up a bit.
In the meantime, the other 3 and I still plug away at our "relaxed
education at home" and having fun ;) I think on Thursday we will
go to the zoo!
How does Jennifer like the clarinet?
