-> I saw 4 JMP's--2 '69s and 2 '72s--in a VG ad (someplace in Ohio).
-> These are the 20W 2-10's combos, it appears. Around $1450 asked for
-> any of the four.
-> Are these among the more desirable M combos?
The early tube rectified 18 watt combos are the highly vollectible ones.
I have an early sixties 2x12 20 watt combo. Although it is pretty cool,
it doesn't have a lot of gain, and I certainly wouldn't pay that much
for one. It has a SS rectifier.
It's pretty loud and you could probably do quiet gigs with one, but I
still wouldn't recommend one for that kind of money.
I don't remember the address this early in the morning, (getting ready
this for the 1st NAMM show day) but if you'd like to see pictures of
mine, (it's a mini-bluesbreaker) I can post my website address for you
if you want.
For the money you mentioned above, you could by either a JTM45 reissue,
a 50watt plexi reissue, and have enough money left over for a nice 4x12
cabinet or a 2x12 cabinet. A bluesbreaker reissue would walk all over
the 20 watter as well..
