It was rather a black ending.  :) I don't remember much as it was a long
time ago, but I've read several times that Avon killed Blake because of a
misunderstanding - he thought Blake had betrayed them.  Then the room
filled with stormtroopers (I think that's what they were called) and all
our heroes were killed one by one, with Avon typically left standing at the
end.  There was a close-up of his face as he realised the inevitable, gave
a mocking laugh at the irony of it all and decided to go out fighting.  I
don't quite remember whether or not Servalan arranged the whole thing, but
I think she did.
