Absolutely. He kept his word, and shown again that he says what he means
and means what he says. It seems so far this early on to be an excellent
choice, and even all but the most ardent out of touch partisans have to
admit, he's qualified, well respected by many former top Clinton/Democrat
lawyers, and has proper judicial temperament. Bush's moves caused all the
talking democrap heads to be ready to bash Clement and totally unprepared
to say anything meaningful about Roberts. The result will be lots of good
first impressions being generated in the minds of the public by basically
hearing nothing tonight or in the morning that will be negative.
Bush out smarts all the liberal nuanced thinkers again. Now when Rehnquist
retires he can go for an even more conservative woman and the left will be
hard pressed to stop a woman even an Edith Jones type woman.
Bush has also succeeded in getting Rove out of the news.
