-> Does any of you crafters out there have a pattern or know how to make
-> bun covers. They are crocheted little round coverups to go over your
-> hair when it is up in a bun. I think that they could be made out of
-> yarn or thread but don't know how to go about it. I also think that
-> they would have elastic on the edge to keep it over the bun. Any
-> suggestions????
Hi Dottie,
  I don't have a pattern per se but I have read about these where a lady
had seen in her daughter's dance class the type they had. It was a
small doily done in thread that used a cord (just a length of crocheted
chain) long enough to weave through the second to the last row or so
and had tassels at each of the cord. That way it could be adjusted to
how much hair was in the bun.
There are doily pattern books at Wal-Mart and other crafts places that
have the smaller sized doilies in them. Depending on how much hair
needed to be covered probably a 6-8 inch doily might do the trick.
