Since 1982 the aircraft carrier Intrepid has been moored in NYC's Hudson
River as the Sea, Air & Space Museum. Like some other museuns, it can
be rented for private parties during off hours. (No, you don't get to play
with the fighters or Blackbird.)

Some years ago Bill M, a friend and mentor of mine in the business meetings
production trade, was retiring. His wife arranged to celebrate with a
scenic helicopter ride around the city. She told him that after the flight
they'd join his colleagues at a restaurant for a party.

As the Intrepid came in sight, she casually drew his attention to a big
scrum of people on the flight deck. The pilot obligingly dipped closer...
and the people scattered to reveal a big sign lettered "COME ON DOWN,
BILL"
