DC>> Is a 360k floppy considered a 1/2 height?

BA>> Nope. Low density, if anything. 'Height' refers to the short
BA>> dimension on the front of the thing, most likely because the drives
BA>> were mounted horizontally. A 'full height' drive would be
BA>> (approximately) as thick as two 'half height' drives stacked together.

DC> That I know! But, is a floppy drive considered 1/2 height?

yes, i've a few fullheight floppy drives here... they're in the IBM PC and
IBM PCXT... i had to replace one in the IBM PC with a halfheight one...

i wonder what they call the 30meg in that System36 i have here? or the
eight inch floppy... are they double or tripple height?

guess i need to see about pulling the System36 out of its hole one day and
getting some pictures to put on the 'net... interior and all...
