I don't see what difference it makes.  7-bit ascii characters should be the
same no matter what OS and/or hardware is being used.  As for 8-bit characters
probably CP1252 would be the most compatible these days but if amiga figures
ISO-8859-1 is the default then that should work although you'll see the
occasional C1 control codes every now and then originating from a so-called
"LATIN-1" systems where CP1252 is the default character set.
