There was an episode of "Mythbusters" where they built a box out
of 1-1/2" think laminated polycarb (bulletproof glass) and then tested
it with several guns.

A .22 embedded the bullet in the front side.

A .357 embedded the bullet in the front side

A .44 embedded the bullet in the front side

none of these even made it thru one piece of plex

Then they tried a 30.06, it went thru the front side AND the back side..
