Ian's psychological profile is that Kevin likes to make movies where he
doesn't get the girl. A kind of Shane character.

As good as his films are, women in general, but American ("Hello, I'm
Ian.", "How much do you earn Ian?") Women (AW) in particular, love to
see films where at the end, the woman gets a livelihood provided.

Thus his films, like Waterworld and the Bodyguard and that one with
Paul Newman, made women think he looked stupid because he didn't end
the film swearing to pay for a woman's happiness, despite him acting
everyone else off the stage, except of course, Dennis Hopper.

This is also the reason truly, truly crap films, like Titanic made
loads of money, because AW love to see men kill themselves for their
benefit.

My message to Kevin is... you can't beat the market.
