I have been given a few pieces of 1/4" and 3/8" plate glass and
was wanting to experiment with making spotter scopes with this glass

I was thinking of spotter scopes in the the 2-3" range

is there a web site, or can some some give rough guidelines on what size
refractor lens I can make with this glass?

how about a web site that has grinding directions?

any ideas would be appreciated
