A motive, armed of will and wherewithal, whether born from a
"NOTHING/s" or a "SOMETHING/s", is one slippery fish to teach
our logic to. I've thought on it some without any significant
concluding. That there might be some primal knowings waiting
in such of "otherish" re-ALL-ities, is an awkward bird of
search. That "nonconceptuals" can even be invited into our
limited mentation, does to only tease along tips of incomplete
possibility (other than the extended grasp of math). It is, at
best, in our time, a tightrope some between SciFi and poetry;
with science, in its own context making those few genuine strides.
"...what science cannot discover, mankind cannot know."
....Bertrand Russell
I should like to see some of those "strides" find parallels
in some other "none religious" options .......just a wish-
as I very much feel warm to imagining the unimaginable ....and
even that being more a motive of fun than noble quest !!!!
I realize that this area of search is "high mountain"
speculation (with lots of snow), yet sense you have some
curiosities concerning.
As mentioned before, The paleontologist, geologist, philosopher,
"T. Chardin", labored (among a dozen or so writings) to project a reach
into such "unknowing" ..his insight enthusiasm sharing to suggest
an image complex of "JESUS" and "SCIENCE" compounding to cast up
a single fountain/realm of brilliance .......a brilliance far beyond
either their own visions to reach.
.....that is, assuming I read him well enough to grasp!
I could NOT agree with him, but in reading his words, did feel in
the presence of a very special mind...... Probably the only one,
as yet, that I ever felt so about.............!
