subject: Consensus Needed....

Hello All!
Okay, I need an educated opinion here.... :-)
My little female Siamese, Soo Ling, loves yogurt--even the flavored ones.
Whenever I sit down with a container, she is in my lap, mooching. I have
gotten into the habit of giving her a few licks when the container is almost
finished--in fact she eats less than a teaspoon, maybe more like half a
teaspoon. And I don't usually eat yogurt at home, mostly taking it to work
for lunch, so this happens only two or three times a month at most
One of my friends at work is *adamant* that yogurt is not good for cats.
When I told her of Soosie's affinity, she was aghast and told me I should
NEVER give her any yogurt.
I know cats don't need milk, and I don't give them that, but it seems to me
the yogurt is a rather harmless treat for a rare occasion. Soo Ling has
never suffered any ill effects. I know milk can cause diarrhea and cheese
can be a binder, I never heard anything pro or con about yogurt.
So! What do you think??
Joan
