I knew when I swore my oath in Law Enforcement that there may come a time when
I had to execute a duty that may contridict my core beliefs and faith. One
is, thou shalt not kill the other is Judge Not... carrying a GUN is a
tremendous responsibility. I had it in my power, and my duty to use the
weapon to nullify a situation where the greater public could be hurt... or
worse. While Killing and Judging go against my core beliefs I had a DUTY to
take a life if I judged in that moment that either my life would be taken, or
the lives of the public at large are endangered.

Ms. Davis, like me, took an oath and entered into office very well knowing
that there may come a time when she has to execute a duty in accordance to
that oath that may contradict her faith.

And if she could not uphold the law then she needs to step down. What she did
was use her office to advance her religious beliefs. The Bible also says to
live by the law of the land. That means if you are an instrument of the law
of the land then you need to execute your duties... or step down. She had no
problems cashing her paycheck as the county clerk... which seems to be an
"inherited" position with her family.
I feel for her position on compromising her faith... but that does not give
her the right to deny another their legal rights... even though you don't
agree with the law. If she feels that it would condemn her to hell then step
down and find another career path that doesn't have any responsibilities that
would compromise her faith.
