Dave, at 19:34 on May 31 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley...

dial tone?

When did you check its contents though? I called their BBS a couple of
days ago, and also noticed a fairly recent 061 SDL, but I'm sure it was
dated prior to May (could have been either February or March). Might be
worth checking.

DH> I'm beginning to be less of an FRZ. :-(

You've been spoiled, Dave. Had you bought a Taiwanese V.34 modem, you'd
have been stuck with the same controller code this time next year, and the
year after, and the year after that too...

DH> The modem works fine. As long as the manufacturer is kept away from it.

Seems there's a lot to be said for avoiding their peripheral models then,
and sticking with the US/Canada domestic version after all. The only real
problem now is that I have all of these really top-hole features like
Distinctive Ring and CID, but nothing upon which I can use them. :)
