Well, at least I know I got myself a good modem. I suspect that they

manufacture Sportsters for USR and as part of the deal they sell

some under own name. But USR probably doesn't want them to fiddle

with the firmware.

Most of the writing on a chip is hidden under a sticker, I can make

out the speed (120 ns) and I can see "..2.5 V" - thats look very

familiar to me, I'd say 12.5V programming voltage.
