Not exactly a lot of "moving parts" on the outside of an airplane
that those modern technological marvels called "plastic" and
"duct tape" can't protect. Its worthwhile to note that the USA
stores its surplus aircraft in the open at a desert airbase (Davis-Monthan)
subject to all sorts of wind blown sand and such.
