Hello all,

well, thank you to those who responded by email i managed to get a couple
of interesting horror stories about installing microsft product on anyting
other than a microsoft platform.

anyway thats over and done with .. to those people who responded with
``but, xyz product works just as well, why dont you rush right on out and
buy a copy", er my original question was about the installation of
software i all ready own .. if money wasn't a concern i would have rushed
out and gotten describe and some how learned to use it .. but money is
tight, at least in the michaels household, and having to come to grips with
yet another ``ideosyncratic" (to say the least) way of working with
documents is just a bit beyound me at the moment.

well, i got os/2 ver 4.00 installed, it was a treat and even more
comforting was when i tried to install word for windows v2.0a .. not one
hitch, it ran like a refreshing spring breeze .. well almost, its been some
3 years since i last looked at the diskettes and i had to retry a few
sectors more than once.

it installed, it runs and i'm happy .. now all i have to do is to work out
howy to get a copy of os/2 v4.0 after my evaluation period runs out.

anybody got a copy of os/2 v4.00 they want to give away, ummm, pretty please
