you may be right i na manner of speaking... which schools are you talking
about, though? my education experiance was much different in public schools
than it was in private schools... public schools lagged well behind private
schools... reports of home-schooled attending public schools also show the
public schools being well behind... it seems that teaching to the "slowest"
lowers all to the same level of "slow"... i left public school and went back to
private school which was more of a tutorial type environment... i brought up my
previously failing grades and graduated ahead of my graduating class... in my
case, i specifically failed subjects to as to be able to retain some friends
and not be such a "geek" or "nerd"... the classes in public school were so slow
that i was completely bored... one economics class that didn't complete half
the book in public school i completed with the same book in some hours with a
A+...

the tutorial method at the school was such that every student in a "class"
could be working on different subjects at their own pace... if they had a
question, then they talked to the teacher to understand it and keep moving on
at their own pace...
