Because they want the federal government to control (or kontrol lol) things
like Gay Marraige, Abortion and etc.  Instead of leaving it up to the
individual states to define their own rules they want one federal system... in
fact I'm convinced they want one world government which will never work.

Personally it would be best if the federal government would just get out of
the way... the concept of "united states" means united... E-Pluribus Unim out
of one many.

Healthcare should be left up to the individual states... so should the bulk of
taxation.  In fact there's no real law that establishes the internal revenue
service or even the collection of the federal income tax... only the amount
to be paid (remember Linda Thompson an old fidonet sysop out of Indianapolis)
she wrote a few good essays on this in her day.

While she was an interesting lady (had theories on the first clinton

well.
