True, I mention racism because that is how it is taught, from what I can
tell.  Funny thing is that the states' rights issues existed long before it
was used as a slavery argument.  Earlier in the 1800's, there were issues with
such in New England over things the feds wanted the locals to do that they did
not want to.  They had just fought England to get rid of silly central
government interferance and didn't want to put up with it again.  There was
even talk of succession. I think the feds mostly won that battle, too.

However, now days, whenever I hear anyone on the right mention states'
rights, someone on the left will call them a racist... even if it has nothing
to do with civil rights.
