AF>Yes I believe oxy-aceltylene tanks are hydro-ed every five years. Usually
AF>the company you lease them from takes care of it though. If you own the
AF>tanks it depends on if they just refill your tank or exchange them. They
AF>have to make sure each tank has been inspected if you exchange them.
I wonder, is the inspection of tanks ( all types) mandated by DOT or
osha or another agency\?
AF>The reason I got sunburned was due to cleaning the yard. I had my shirt
ff
AF>and spent most of the day with my back turned toward the sun.
Work, I have found it often interferes with the better parts of life.
AF>The lake I most like is Bull Shoals lake about 20 north of Harrison. I
AF>usually go to a place called Peel. They have a boat dock and can refill
he
AF>tanks after a dive. I don't do much snorkeling. To be honest I just don't
AF>really have much free time owing to the fact that I spend most of the day
AF>indoors behind my computer. I don't even ride my bicycles much.
How big? Deep? is it a Corps of Engineers lake? Our local Corps project
has a lot of rock walls, thus it makes the vis very good when compared
to an earth banked lake.
AF>I went swimming the other day at Pruitt a local river south of Harrison. I
AF>kept getting cramps. I have also found that my inactivity has caused me to
AF>get cramps in my feet when I use my force-fins. They almost seem too
tiff.
AF>I guess I just need to stretch and exercise AF>more often.
Years ago, while young and ignorant, I am now older and ignorant, I went
on a Blackbeards dive trip without getting in shape. I thought the
first day would kill me, I was sure death was immediate on the second,
by the third I had gotten used to the physical demmands of diving 4
times a day.
Long and short of it, I now start exercising before I go on a dive trip.
It keeps the leggs from hurting and me from being so tired.
