Here is how my configuration is inside OLX using ALT-O then D for
Directories:    QWK / IN Directory : C:\QMPRO\DOWNLOAD <---no backslash
                QWK / OUT Directory: C:\QMPRO\UPLOAD   <---"      "

Now start QMPRO and from terminal access the menu ALT-Z, then C for
Config, then F for files, P for definitions/preferences and make sure it
is these listings.
                 QWK / IN= C:\QMPRO\DOWNLOAD\ <-----backslash
                 REP / OUT=C:\QMPRO\UPLOAD\   < ----     "
this is the way I have mine configured and have no problems at all
