I never said it was. It was more the hitting power I was thinking of. The
long rifle ak (not the druganov) is OK but for me if it is an sort of self
loading rifle then it's a crap sniping rifle due to the mass movement
during firing.

I have seen some adapted to hold the gas till the round has definitely
exiting the barrel however even then they tend to wander more than one
would wish.

In a pinch though any of the heavy barrel support weapons placed on single
shot will do.
