Hi Stahl Family, hope you are having a nice day
SF>Murder in the Rue de Verre Part 2
So far so good, only noticed a couple of times things like
"your are" vs "you are" or "you're"
grammatical oppsies.
On other topics though....
****
In the next room the chief suspect was being questioned by Terkos'
newest constable, Nardo.
****
HOLY !! Nardo's a cop??!??
You sure we ain't gotta changling invasion?
****
Terkos got a hug from Diana who ran off to her school carel. Leathalan
gave him the 'big blue eyes' look. He kissed her nose. Her ears popped
straight up.
"Have a good day, dear."
**Tease.**
****
So much for nothing ever going on between those two.
(does this mean Terkos is turning into a Romul*ane*?)
****
Slestlee spent a few more minutes with the big "Cait", and money changed
hands. Pomadore fidgeted in the back of the room, the damn Qzin made her
nervous.
****
You don't happen to remember seeing the animated episode `Slaver Weapon'
do you. I've got the ADF novelization of that one but w/ everything going
on thanks to those damn quacks at a certain hospital I'm packing stuff so
can't get to it now.
But the spellings are K'zin for the planet and K'zinti for the natives.
Usage wrt the people would be K'zin for singular or K'zinti for a group
although you could just as easily use `A dozen K'zin' as you could `A
dozen K'zinti.'
The other item is that while the K'zin and Cait have some similarity in
physical appearance, there are some differences that are pretty obvious
w/o preforming major plastic surgery. Cait resemble in general your basic
domestic shorthair cat only human sized, the K'zin are built more like
a tiger (indian or siberian take your pick) so the face is built a bit
different. They're also a bit more muscular looking as opposed to the
more lithe build of the Cait.
The really obvious difference though is the external part of the ears.
Where the Cait's look like a normal cat's ears, the external part of a
K'zinti's ears look like bat wings and can be expanded or folded shut
against their head like a wing. T'would be a pretty hefty operation to
put things back to rights after a undercover op. (although i suppose you
could keep them on ice so to speak and regenerate nerves, etc later.)
The only other difference you're likely to see is if you run across
a K'zinti telepath. Physically smaller and the tail has no fur on it.
Their powers are often chemically enhanced (psydroxan?) which may explain
why they're said to be rather neurotic in behavior. Although being lower
on the societal totem pole probably doesn't help.
