I hate to be anglocentric but I'm not sure exactly how much a "quid" is in US
Dollars. I guess I should install my currency changer program... :)

I ftp'ed to ftp.midi.net or com or something, and it let me in, but didn't
accept anonymous. It said it was a MIDI centred BBS. That's kind of what
I'm looking for, some place that MIDI makers all like to put their files, a
large collection. MODS and the like, too. I've been into the MOD (and MOD
lookalikes) scene for about 7 years, but just now getting into MIDI now that
I have HD space for sample recordings. My old SB 16 ASP only uses FM
synthesis.
If I can't find anything like that right away, the MIDI types I'm most
interested in are "real songs", people who've copied a song from sheet music
or an album into a MIDI, rather than track their own compositions. I like
originals too, but...
As you can see, I'm not a composer, just a listener. :)
