-=> Quoting Denise Morris to Leo Noll <=-
DM> Samantha was digging under
DM> the couch cushions tonight. I expected to find another milk bottle top,
DM> but no, it was a cat toy for once!
We got Lady Jane a variety of cat toys, which she ignores. We
often hear her playing in the kitchen - she flicks a piece of dry
cat food out of the bowl onto the floor and chases it around. If
we go in to watch, she stops playing.
DM> And she's still trying to train me
DM> to get up in the morning. She gave up this morning and got hubby up
DM> instead. ;-)
I don't know how it got started, but for a while Lady Jane was
waking us up at 3 AM, wanting to have cat food put into her
bowl. There is always cat food in her bowl. For a while, in
order to get some sleep, I would get up and put some cat food
in her bowl. If there was plenty, I would reach down and
push it around a bit. Even this seemed to satisfy her.
We finally got her to stop this game. I think it involved ignoring
her at 3 AM, or if she got close, giving her a pet or two, but not
getting up.
Meow.

... What do you get if you remove half a cat's brain? A smart dog!
