I'm gonna post part of a thread which I got off Begnet.  The lady
seems to think that people shouldn't have convictions about things
because it causes strife.  Read it for yourself:

Pretty sad state of affairs... along with everything else.  It all comes down 
to extremism.  On both sides of the blanket.
Pro-Life
Pro-Choice
Pro-Government
Pro-Constitution (NOT the same thing, it would seem...)
Sms like everyone is 'for' SOMETHING, and against anyone who doesn't hold 
identical opinions.
I've decided that I mistrust anyone who rabidly believes anything. 
Too-strong convictions are dangerous... they close the mind and demolish all 
hope of peace, civility, humanity...
