My guess by sound of it is that it was either a std ak in single aimed fire
or possibly the support weapon (heavy barrel) version being used for single
aimed fire.
Given the fact that a flak jacket stopped the round it may well have been
an low powered round being used in an aimed single shot way (e.g. an smg on
single shot).
