As in paint the field behind the plant?

You were talking about the effects of rain on DU dust, you can't paint the soil.

When a DU shell hits a tank, 40-60% of the shell is vaporized into dust. So
lets pretend there is an old tank in your backyard and it was hit by 2
shells. How are you going to clean that up? I mean as a radiation hazard,
as long as you are 12" away from it you don't have to worry but the
dust can be a real problem, if you breath even a small amount you are no
longer 12" away from it.

In your backyard you could probably plant grass and stuff to keep the dust
down paint ain't gonna work.
