So what has changed about insurgencies?
Not much from what I can see. Destabilize the govt, terrorize the populace, etc.
Only now its IslamoFacists rather than communists. The thing with Iraq is
we're trying to combine a number of different tasks along with
counterinsurgency because we've inherited a country with a pre-wasted
infrastructure, and we lack sufficient language experts - something that
really wasn't an issue in south/central america.
