Of course, with 16 years in, I could have stuck it out for another four and
retired, but I didn't think the four years' sea time and the attendant
grief would be worth it: I'd probably be divorced and giving up half my pay
anyway.  And I wouldn't have strolled into a computing career in 2001 as I
did in 1997.  So, all in all, it worked out.  At least they won't be
calling my fat and aged ass back!
