From: old man joe

"For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own
( thelema ) will, but the ( thelema ) will of Him who sent Me. "
 Joh. 6:38

so says Apostle John as he puts to use the Bible word " thelema "...
to express the purpose of heart by deliberate choice.

he uses this word ' thelema ' by inspiration of the Holy Spirit to
describe that receiving Jesus Christ as Savior unto salvation has
absolutely nothing to do with the " thelema " of man in Joh. 1:13

because John, as the rest, knew that otherwise, salvation is by good
works and not by grace. he knew one doesn't work to get graced by God
because " it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who
runs, but on God who has mercy. " Ro. 9:16

Luke understood unconditional election and records that as soon as
Jesus broached the subject He was taken out of the synagogue to be thrown
over a cliff. Lk. 4:14-29

such is the case with all those even today who seek to control
God... allowing no one to enter God's kingdom through grace alone apart
from works, since they themselves have not entered His rest.

salvation by works controls people. people who preach salvation by
the free will of man seek to control people by controlling the Lord,
allowing Him to have a distant part in His own plan of salvation... and
allowing no person who hasn't fulfilled all the conditions the free will,
not grace preachers have placed on their kind of ' grace. '

                  *******************************************

when the Son of God walked the earth proving Himself to be God
Eternal by His many wonderful attesting miracles, He made it perfectly
clear that He was under complete subjection to the " thelema "...
will of the Father as John illustrates.

yet, He was also born of a woman... so much so was Jesus of the
human family as well as being Eternal God that His neighbors viewed Him as
no one out of the ordinary. Mt. 13:55

His face did not shine as Moses did after talking with Jesus
on Mount Sinai ( Ex. 34:29 ) He never appeared to anyone during His
earthly ministry as He did from the Glory Cloud in the Old Testament as in
Ex. 16:10 et al

Jesus was under subjection to the " thelema " of the Father during
His earthly ministry. Joh. 6:38

in like manner, those called to witness the glory of the Lord as
they proclaim His righteousness, and not their own, remember that they are
created unto good works and not because of good works. Eph. 2:10

the elect of God are given a stewardship to speak the truth of God
and not to filter it as to preach to itching ears. the elect are to preach
the hard doctrines as well, of grace, calling, election, repentance from
sin, foreknowledge, predestination, and slave hood to Jesus Christ.

slave hood to Jesus Christ is not some highly desirable thing the
unbeliever jumps at the chance to do of his imaginary free will. ( Joh.
6:65,66 ) but he must instead be dragged to Christ...

" No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws
( drags ) him " Joh. 6:44

the free will of unbelievers, whether they name the Name of Christ
by giving " feigned obedience unto Him " ( Ps. 66:3 ) or just be
outright God haters, they're completely under the control of Satan, their
good shepherd. Joh. 8:44; Eph. 2:2; 1 Joh. 5:19

just as Jesus did not preach freedom from but slave hood to God and
lived His earthly life accordingly, so too, those elected by grace glorify
the Lord God above in word and action. and not themselves here below...

for salvation never was by the " thelema " of man. Joh. 1:13

              *******************************************

the will worshipers simply seek to control salvation. there
theology is built around it. there lives devoted to it. they seek to
control because they themselves are controlled. Eph. 2:1-3; Joh. 8:44; 2
Tim 2:26

they speak of man and the things of man. they speak of conditions
because in conditions lie control. the is no control over whom God will
grace. they hate this.
