Bob, as you know, I have no love of Windoze. On balance, for me, it's
counterproductive. However, I have to back you up on the quoted stuff
above. One of my part-time endeavors is, as you would expect, teaching
WP at a for-profit training outfit. They do a myriad of courses, lots
of different software. The trend, based on what PAYING STUDENTS call
and ask for is definitely Windows-based courses. I would estimate that
for every WPDOS class we do, we do ten (or more) WPWIN classes. And the
other software categories, e.g., spreadsheets, reflect similarly.
My take is that these people, for the most part, are asking for Windows
programs because that's what employers are seeking. As to the "why" of
_that_, I have some opinions, but they belong in another venue!
