You need 16550 buffered UARTs (that's the serial port chip on your

I/O card) on this setup. Chances are that you've got normal I/O card

and it can't handle receiving from both ports at high speeds. Look

at your card, if you see two large chips marked 16450 or 8250, or

one chip with 16452 on it - then you've found your problem.
