If the Palm Beach dem organization is so strong (which it actually is, PB
is overwhelmingly dem) explain why democrat turnout in Palm Beach county
was down ~20% over 2000 in spite of this unprecedented push.
You can't accept that what really happened is that dem issues have finally
gone so far that a large number of people finally hit a "hard
stop" on them.
Even Bill Clinton recongnized this and pleaded with Kerry to throw the gays
overboard since they were costing him more than they were bringing to the
table. Hillary recognizes this now with the "totally unrestricted
abortion" position and has backed off in a hasty play to remake
herself towards the middle.
When will you recognize this? Its not about "organization" - its
about dems moving so far to the left that they're pushing away a lot of
their traditional base....they pushed me away 20 years ago when this lurch
to the left started. I'd been a dem until then.
