Actually, Hackett spent *less* money than Schmidt. His campaign was pretty
bare-bones. Only in the last week did the DNC put any money in.

But that doesn't matter. What matters is that in a district where the
Republican normally gets over 70% of the vote, the Democrat came within 3.5
points of winning. That's not money talking, that's people.
