Apparently they just love alternative histories. Believe it or not, they're
imagining a Gore victory in 2000 and the rescue of conservatism and America
by superheroes Sean Hannity, Gordon Liddy and Ollie North (link below

In control of the White House and both branches of Congress, and with the
consequences of their policies proving to be wildly unpopular failures, the
only way Republicans can maintain their support is by pretending that the
Democrats are in power.
