It does that, and I've used the feature. The problem here, at least for me,
is that it doesn't archive *everything* - it does archive everything in the
Netscape directory structure, but not the other files it overwrote. I used a
variation of the technique you describe below to prove that, at least to my
satisfaction.
WH> More generally, I reset ALL archive flags on all drives before

Someone else suggested that, and it may be what I need to do, altho I'd much
sooner see a list from IBM/Netscape. They *know* what's in the new install
ahead of time.
Seems like a lot of foolin' around to overcome what could be a very simple
thing if IBM/Netscape would only tell us what they were going to overwrite,
especially if the files didn't reside in the Netscape directory structure.
In fact, I'd expect that as a matter of common courtesy.
In my case, OS/2 boots from drive C, and Netscape resides on drive G. Do you
know of a simple way to reset the archive bits on 3.5G of files, quickly? :^)
I guess there is probably some sort of SWEEP utility for OS/2, altho I don't
remember seeing one. The technique also really fouls up incremental backups,
something I rely on.
