MR> Afraid I'm one of the "if she ain't broke" brigade. I have a very
MR> stable system with no fixpacks so I won't be applying any unless its
 MR> absoklutely necessary.

My philosophy too, but some things were broke :)

MR> Also the good news is that Netscape Beta 1a runs great on my system
MR> of Warp with no fixpacks. _Much_ quicker than WebEx.

Wouldn't be too hard. Guess I'll give it a try soon.

IS> My system is heaps more stable, especially with multimedia things

MR> I havent got multimedia installed mainly because I've found Video
MR> for Windows and quicktime run great under win-os2, certainly
 MR> better than OS/2's multimedia. I don't need sound in OS/2 only
MR> in DOS and WIN-OS2 and for those MMOS2 doesn't need to be installed.

Fairynuf. QTW is a bit marginal here; low frame rates, dropped frames and
patchy audio, but then a) my S3 card doesn't provide 'hardware support' for
Quicktime, and b) it says my 4x NEC273 CDROM is 1x, rated at 60Kbytes/sec!

MainActor, on the other hand, flies on .movs; smooth 30+fps no problem,
though it's a bit rough around the edges, being a beta. Sound synch not
100% either, but it's promising. FP22 seems to allow Director clients to
work ok, too.

IS> I wouldn't be surprised if netscape plugged into underlying MMOS2
 IS> .dlls also?

MR> Possibly but I don't know for sure.

If it runs on yours, without MMOS2, we'll have to assume that it doesn't :)

Cheers, Ian
