No, there are federal laws pertaining to interstate transport of firearms
by individuals. Federal law says if the gun is locked in the trunk, the
ammo is separate and locked in the trunk, and the gun is legal in the state
you started in and legal in the state your are travelling to, then it is
legal in all the states you pass through, or some thing similar to that..
