Hello, Matt. Tuesday January 18 2011 at 22:39, you wrote to me: MM> I was looking to switch to a bbs software that would be simpler to MM> administer and having a Bluewave door would of been nice. Maybe QWKE MM> might be a simpleraddition for the renegade development team. If you're wanting that, use Telegard as there is a patch for the Blue Wave (proper spelling) door that will make it Y2K compliant. QWKE is poorly supported; the only programs that I know of that support it are OLMS2000 and MultiMail and those two programs are still in common use. As someone who's run over 40 different BBS packages over the years, I can tell you that there is /no/ BBS package that is "simpler to administer". Every one of them have their quirks and you just have to learn to work with what you like. That's why I like Maximus: since the configuration files are text-based, they are easy to make changes (even "en masse" changes) and even easier to back up. If there was a total disaster on the BBS, I can install a stock setup of Maximus and have it working almost immediately. Of course, this isn't including all of the custom ANSI screens, custom scripts, doors setup and filebase setup that I've done, but I think you get the jist of what I'm saying. Later, Sean ... Smile!
