I'm not sure they've been doing anything to cause any harm so far.  It looks
like they'll just connect and then time out after a moment or two of what
appears to be just sitting.  They may be running a script to try to see if they
can do anything (sometimes I hear my BBS page me, and that is one of the
options I have on my login menu).  Since there is a limited amount of things
the user can do at my login menu, I can't think of anything they could do that
could cause any real harm.
