Here's some fodder.  I finally stabilized the ARGUS setups with BRE/FE
battlenet.  (SMC went down, I took over but i still need to go out and change
the info so folks can find me).  The trick if you process on the fly is to
scale back argus to 1 in and 1 out bound thread.  Default was 4 and I've got
too many packets flying fo rthat to work.  No logs showed errors but we were
getting MIT's reported from 3 sites, all with good reliable setups.  Had to
be me (new LC) and since I don't have a multi-server setup currently, that
fixed it.

Come to think of it, I need to post that in SCInet as they had a related
sounding issue some months back (they probably fixed it too).
